Bottling Up The Season

$120.00

Saturday 30 August 2025 9.30am - 12.30pm

Bottling isn’t just for passata! It’s a way to celebrate the abundance of the season and keep its flavours alive long after the harvest.

Join Jordy from the Little Patch Project for a hands-on, 3-hour workshop where you'll dive into the art of bottling the vibrant produce of Waring — the Wurundjeri season we know as late Autumn and early Winter. Think quince, citrus, apples, pears, rhubarb, beetroot, onions, squash, and cabbage — this season is bursting with possibilities!

Under Jordy’s warm and practical guidance, you’ll learn to craft and bottle three delicious preserves:

  • Rhubarb & Lemon Syrup

  • Orange and Beetroot Relish

  • Apple & Pear Pie Filling

You’ll take home a jar of each creation, along with a head full of preserving and bottling know-how and a belly full of seasonal samples! Printed recipes will be given out on the day and a digital version will be emailed after the workshop.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Get hands-on in pairs – share the fun and the learning

  • Take home 3 jars of your own handcrafted preserves

  • Taste a variety of seasonal delights throughout the session

What to Bring:

  • Aprons recommended (please bring your own if desired)

  • 3 wide mouth jars with lids, up to 500ml each

Come for the flavour, stay for the joy, and leave with jars full of seasonal magic!

Location: The Kitchen, Hurstbridge Hub, 50 Graysharps Road, Hursbridge
